Kalalau's Korner invites you to embark on your journey into Carl Schroeder's philosophy. Questioning and talking about ASL, short for American Sign Language, is my forte.

Consider a person riding a bicycle. Whoever the person is, we can say three things about a person. We know when a person got on the bicycle and started to move. We know that at some point the person will stop and get off. Most important of all, we know that if at any point between the beginning and the end of their journey the person stops moving and does not get off the bicycle the person will fall off it. That is a metaphor for the journey through life of any living thing, and I think of any society of living things. I love riding my bike.
