The majority of Deaf children do NOT get an individual education. IDEA is often misunderstood, and the schools twist the misunderstandings to their advantage.
The Deaf Community and parents need to understand IDEA better, so they can reverse the schools' misleading and often, outright false information about IDEA.
Bravo to Deaf Pundit for telling the ugly truths about the so-called savoir of the IEP preparation!
Many WVSD teachers usually photocopied one IEP plan for their students and presented the IEP plan to every gullible parent of deaf student like only particular IEP plan for every students.
My parents were deceived by the WVSD teachers that I really got very special IEP plan to match my academic testing scores. I ended up taking lessons all the time most of time. I was very sociable person which caused me real misery and resentment.
I always ended up in same Accelerated Class with the ninth graders to senior in one classroom all the day. What a joke!
Why I put up with all WVSD crap in the first place?
