While many people may fantasize about marketing cochlear implants to parents of Deaf newborns, several American Sign Language (ASL) groups advocate that the lifestyle isn't for every Deaf baby who can "listen and speak" ... "on cue." To this end, our American society is far from shy when it comes to realizing that hearing implanted people do not hear the way hearing people normally do. "We are against hearing implanted babies to acquire ASL because it is an uphill battle," They reasoned implicitly, "We must fight against their being Deaf."
Most parents of hearing implanted babies are selected for ignorance and feeblemindedness. For example, there was a single mother who wanted her sons to hear her for the first time but she failed to realize that what her boys heard was synthetic. Synthetic sounds are like instant tea or McDonald's Big Mac.
Let me explain that Deaf babies are not generally born to be hearing. Actually, 80 percent of the hearing implanted people I met in these past two months told me some horrified stories about mapping. Most of them became depressed and frustrated.
Cochlear implants (CI) is a billion-dollar business that has captured wide public attention, most average people aren't aware exactly how big a role CI corporates play in deception and advertising industries. We need to push to see to it that hearing impanted people get compensated for their "listening and speaking" efforts.
The public looks for truths in a big way. It helps parents of Deaf babies draw the line between perception, which could involve gruesome struggles, and reality. But what precisely are the realities of being a hearing implanted baby? More to the point, what is life like for these implanted babies, and what options exist for parents who want to give their baby a lot more work than they realize. It can sometimes take two years to prep for a 20-second near-native pronunciation scene, a share of the hoax.
Yes, it's the hoax that inspired a great many people and institutions. Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, for example, got inspired to uphold this hoax with its master plan for Sorensopn Language and Communication Center (SLCC) to lure hearing implanted people to walk through the language and culture of the Deaf showcase. The effort by Gallaudet University in promoting such a hearing perception has absolutely nothing to do with higher learning. CI is best understood in the English phrase, "keeping up with the Joneses."
Yes, hearing implant for Deaf babies is a hoax, a high profile hoax, the hoax of the century.

It was about what happened at Gallaudet,
the "colonialized" I.King Jordan at the beginning of his deaf world brainwashed by people from AGBell starting around 1988 and IK Jordan got three AGBell members on the Board of Trustee of Gallaudet.
And how I.K. Jordan tried to get a "colonialized" Jane Fernandes to be president of Gallaudet by his clout, breaking the integrity rules of proper method.
And now you understand how Sorenson Language and Communication Center (SLCC) got started before the 2006 Gallaudet Protest.
It is all about colonializing the Deaf Community which I.K. Jordan almost achieved but failed.
But, AGBell and its associates are still trying to destroy American Sign Language.
I will be at Milwaukee to tell AGBell that we want our sign language BACK that was eliminated from our language rights.
Not to mention Senator Hillary
Clinton who -- are you ready? --
serves on the CHHC, short for
Congressional Hearing Health Committee. AGBell is a member of
the CHHC. The goal of CHHC is to see the USA become the world leader with best resources, including cochlear implant devices and hearing aids.
Another member of the CHHC is
Senator Harkin. I have read somewhere that he wishes that his
late brother had been cochlearised! Jordan himself
does not need CI because he is
like a hearing person when wearing the hearing aids.
The "probable" father of the
Internet, Vint Cerf's wife is
an implantée and staunchly supports CI organisations. Vint and his wife are close friends of Jordan and communicate with one
another via voice, not via ASL.
Hoax..???
Sorry to disappoint you...
My 6-year old daughter who is born deaf can hear with her CI. She speaks and understands Dutch and Norwegian.... and not "near-native" as you might think.
Her reality is listening and talking to her Dutch family and Dutch & Norwegian friends. She is not limited to people that know signlanguage.
Anyway, I hope you will meet her, or one of her peers one of these days...
Ik moet even lachen. (I must laugh a little.) Please write back when your adorable daughter turns 16 and then 26 years old. Good luck!

Thanks Carl, for point that out the truth. This is a real reminder me as a Deaf child with HA. No such thing for Deaf children to be a hearing child. No difference!! I worked hard for nothing that is full of hoax I ever got in my whole life. That sad, Is it?
Thumb up!!! Deaf are always deaf for the rest of their life. It is going to be in their Deaf inner soul that no one can erase or remove it at all. After all I was struggled and couldnt figure it out however, I finally found something ahead of me. Thank goodness for not having someone remove or erase my own Deaf inner soul that helps me to find the Deafhood. :)
NOw I must say, I'm proud of being naturally deaf as is. :) And I must say I am "not" proud of being A SHADOW hearing poster child that no one knew what's up with me. NO one cares. It's funny they are making money and disrespect me since Day one I born. Scoffs!
