Tent City - Hawaii!

Mikey Tomito and I agreed to coordinate a support group called Tent City in Haiku, Maui, Hawaii. It will be held on Saturday, October 21st in my beautiful backyard with a hot tub and a huge treehouse (with full mattress in it). Kindly RSVP at TentCityHawaii@yahoo.com. We will have alumni and friends flying in from all islands to get together and support GUFSSA. ASL students are welcome, too!

Aloha Deaf people in Honolulu,

I used to live in Hawaii and attended HSDB in 1979. I graduated from Gallaudet. I went to Galladuet to see my own eye and hear the stories about Gallaudet Protest.

I know that some deaf people in Hawaii feel that JKF made it away from closing at HCDB. But look at a lot of deaf people who already work with JKF and she treat them badly, silence them and threaten their jobs since she started job at Galladuet.

Remember that she may affect our life, sign language and deaf rights and culture in the future.

Please set up the tent city in Honolulu asap

Aloha,
Tad Yamada
